Pardon me,

I do now know French. I am hoping I can connect with an English speaking Googlestats user.

In the installation procedure, we're told:

2- Editez le fichier 'googlestats/admin/config.php' avec un éditeur de texte quelconque (Notepad fera l'affaire) et remplacez les 4 éléments suivants par leurs valeurs (contactez votre hébergeur en cas de besoin) :
- HOST : le nom de la base de données MySQL
- LOGIN : le login
- PASSWORD : le mot de passe
- BASE : le nom de la base MySQL

Well, it's not there in the file to change! No notice as to "where" to put the information.

Hi Sir

Quite simple.

The HOST variable is the hostname of your database server.
The LOGIN/PASSWORD variables are the login/password of your database.
The BASE variable is the name of your database.

You could either ask for your host provider all these variables, or use the actual values of your usual database.

In these items, the mentionned database is, indeed, the database you want to use for GoogleStats ( now RobotStats ), and you have access to, from your HTML files/PHP scripts.

At the end of the file, you should find these lines :

@mysql_connect("HOST", "LOGIN", "PASSWORD");
@mysql_select_db("BASE");

You have to put your values there.

John, you should download the new version of this software: there is an english version at http://www.robotstats.com/en/ and there will be as soon as possible a spannish version if you prefer.

(eh oui le site robotstats sera bientôt ouvert...)
