Does Blogger support categories?
No, Blogger does not have categories. As usual, there is a work-around.
You can give the user the impression you have categories by setting up two or more blogs (depending on how many categories you want) with identical templates within the same account.
The only difference in the templates is that there would be a link in each to the other "category" --which is actually just another template and blog. This would be transparent to the user who clicks on a category link and is presented with what looks like the same blog, but with different blog posts.
You could also utililize the Blogger post template facility to create a "category" that is appended to the beginning of each blog post. This post template would have a different category name in each blog.
It might look like this:
How's you garden today?
The body of your blog talking about how the garden is going today and any other stuff that needs to be in the body of the blog. So, in this example blog you have a "category" named Roses that is inserted automatically by your posting template, your normal blog title, and then the blog post.
